Gaelios is a hybrid or combination of old Gaelic words. Our founder is proud of his Irish heritage and he wanted that to be incorprated with his company because he views Gaelios as an extension of himself.
"Gael" meaning a "person of Irish Decent" or simply an irish guy, and "ios" meaning "of intellect and/or wisdom". Quite plainly, our company name means A smart Irish guy, but Jake thought Gaelios sounded cooler, you can see the true Irish heritage in our logo as well. If you could notice the combination of: Triskeles, Triquetra, & Clover Vines, creating a single symbol representing Gaelios Consulting and its values!
Jake Tullis was born and raised in the greater Cincinnati Area. He has had an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age, where he would sell gum to his peers throughout middle school. Then, as he got older, he would hustle landscaping services in his summer and winter free time. Until finally Jake landed in the tech space, and he has never left.
Jake is a true Autodidact, he taught himself how to program websites and phone applications, instead of mowing lawns for cash, in 2013 which catapulted his interest in the space. Jake would soon start a company called Elosophy which was a custom software development company that was created to fulfill projects far larger than what Jake could program individually. Elosophy serviced multiple clients, in varying degrees of capacity from staff augmentation to outright development projects.
Jake was able to grow Elosophy significantly in just 2 years, and he was able to exit the business successfully.
After Elosophy, Jake had gone on to start multiple Phone Application Startups. Jake had created a dating app, a on-demand fitness app, and a self-education application all in the Cincinnati area, being a part of #startupcincy. One of these applications, Mylai had spurred a lot of interest. Jake grew Mylai to a top 12 startup in the Cincinnati area while also pursuing his consulting profession and honing that craft.
While Jake was growing Mylai he was focusing on IT/Management consulting for some of his clients from Elosophy who still wanted to work with him. In this time, Jake had stepped into significant start-ups in the Cincinnati Market, but also abroad, with his largest client being a $12.5MM startup based out of silicon valley.
Jakes 8 years spent working on developing software solutions, raising capital for development projects, starting, and building companies, and playing an integral part of those efforts has made Jake an absolute force, generating the highest level of work product achievable. A standard Jake upholds with every client and that level of care and drive has been manifested through Gaelios, and is our ultimate test of quality.
